Heat-Strengthened Glass
Designed for use in areas where minimum optical distortion is required.
Heat-strengthened glass is a semi-tempered glass which retains the normal properties of an ordinary float glass. It is about twice as strong as annealed glass and breaks into relatively large fragments that stick to its glazing framework when broken. H.S. Glass is not classified as a safety glazing material. It allows the interlayer to adhere more evenly because of a flatter finish surface, in comparison to tampered laminated glass. As against toughened glass, heat-strengthened glass, with its flatter surface, also results in a facade having less optical distortions.
Specifications
- Maximum glass size: 2440 mm x 4200 mm
- Minimum glass size: 300 mm x 100 mm
- Glass thickness: 2.8 mm – 8 mm
Recommended for
- Glass Facades
- Glass Partitions
- Glass Railings
- Shower Cabins
- Structural Glazing
- Furniture
- Frameless doors
- Windows with grill
- Automobiles
Ridhi Sidhi HS is a semi-tempered glass which retains the normal properties of ordinary float glass. The difference lies in the chemical resistance, hardness, expansion and deflection. This glass is generally twice as strong as annealed glass and has more resistance to heat fracture. It is perfect for commercial applications such as spandrels, windows in high wind load areas, and applications where the glass is expected to receive high thermal exposure. The glass cannot be cut, drilled or edge worked. The glass also facilitates lesser visual distortion.

- Twice as strong as annealed glass
- Can withstand temperatures up to 295°C
- Less optical distortion
- Low risk of spontaneous breakage
- Applications where additional strength is needed to meet mechanical loads (wind, snow) or thermal loads.
- Spandrels and windows in high wind load areas
- Locations subject to high wind pressure such as upper storey and corners of tall buildings.
- Maximum glass size: 2440 mm x 4200 mm
- Minimum glass size: 300 mm x 100 mm
