Toughened glass is made by heating annealed glass to close to its softening temperature and then by rapidly cooling it down by air blasting.The process starts with computer aided optimization of glass cuts. The glass is cut to size either on the jumbo cutting line with autoloader and breakout table from Bystronic Industries, Switzerland, or on Automatic CNC machine from cms s.p.a industries ,Italy.

The Jumbo cutting line is capable of processing any thickness or size of glass with the option for edge deletion for high performance glasses with minimum handling of glass. Once cut, the glass is then sent for grinding, where its edges are given a fine finish by passing the glass through the edging and grinding machines. Sophisticated machines including Fully Automatic Jumbo size Double Edger line from Golive, the horizontal and vertical Grinding machines from the Bottero Industries, Italy and the Triple Cross Wet Bet Grinding Machines ensure finest of edge work. Holes and cuts are now made on the cut and edge finished glass as per the customer drawing. To ensure that the glass is completely dust-free and clean, it is washed in fully automated horizontal and vertical washing machines from Bassra Machine Tools ,U.K.. The cleaned glass is then re-checked for dimensions and is moved for toughening to one of the three furnaces depending on specifications. Jet stream Convection Flat Glass Tempering Furnace from Cool Temper, UK is capable of processing low E soft coated glasses of 0.02 impassivity, while Horizontal Roller Hearth Forced Convection Flat Glass Tempering Furnace processes lower thickness and low impassivity glasses. They both work on the latest technology of forced convection heating. The finished glass is subjected to through quality checks and is carefully packed in SPECIALIZED PACKAGING MATERIAL for safe transport to the customers.

Ridhi Sidhi Toughened Glass is 4-5 times mechanically stronger than annealed glass and is about three times more resistant to rapid temperature changes compared to ordinary glass. When broken, it shatters into small cubical fragments rather than irregular shards of glass and therefore is less likely to cause serious injuries. It withstands temperatures of up to 300ºC.
